Optional Usage:
Download and install the Files.com - Desktop v6 App from the Company Portal application located on your computer (REBOOT required).
“The Desktop v6 app is designed for fast and efficient file transfers between your computer and Files.com. It is ideal for handling large tasks, such as uploading gigabyte-sized files, transferring terabytes of data, or managing thousands of files operations.”

Desktop v6 has a similar look and feel as “Total Commander” style folder explorer.

Alternative Optional Methods:
Cyberduck is a third party app that offers native Files.com integration in a client that works like a typical FTP client.

SDK, REST API, and a Command Line Integration (CLI) App are available for use. Each of these provides different methods for integration, allowing you to choose the methods that best fit your needs.
Folder Structure:
The folder structure is simplified to allow easy navigation. At the top level are located the Aras folder and User Shares folders. Your account has been provided with a private share for individual needs located within the User Shares folder. Please note that there is an automatic file expiration of 30 days for all folders\files within your personal share.
Within the Aras folder are located two folders, Subscribers and Partners. Your account has read\write access to all subfolders within those folders. Please navigate with the same level of care you would use on the former FTP server.
Folder\file expiration is set to 1 year, contingency plans are in place for edge case scenarios where data must be archived or projects go beyond this scope.
Existing Subscribers and Partners will be provided user accounts with login credentials. Folder permissions have read\write access and are set to each individual entity. Partners will have the ability to access the Subscriber folders that are required to perform their duties.

Share Links:
Share Links allow users to easily share files and folders with people outside your company via publicly accessible Share Links.
- Share Links are intended to allow external users to download data from Aras in a ad-hoc basis
-
Share links expire after 30 days
- Share Links require a password, password will be shared with external users in a *secure manner. (https://helpdesk.aras.com/support/solutions/articles/20000115041-Email-Encryption)
- Individual Aras contributors can create Share Links
- Share Groups are lists of recipients that can be used for sending invitations for Share Links or Inboxes. This allows you to send invitations to sets of recipients more than once.
