Files.com - Commercial - Access and general usage

Files.com is a managed file transfer (MFT) service. This service supplants Kiteworks and FTP for Aras.

In order to be licensed for use in Files.com you must submit a Service Request found here:

Once granted, you may navigate to aras.files.com or use the app icon found in aras.okta.com.

Once logged into aras.files.com you will be presented with a folder structure:

Aras>Your Department>Customer>

You have permissions to create new folders as needed, ideally reflecting the company\project name. With the Share button on the right of the folder, you will be able provide the customer with a URL to the folder along with setting permissions (Download\Upload,etc).

It is recommended to create a Receive and Send folder within the Customer folder and set the appropriate permission in the Share link.

At this time, the is no time-based limit on the data within the folder. That may change in the future.

*It is imperative to NOT share the top-level Customer folder with clients as that will allow them full access to all other Customer folders.

You also have access at the root level to a personal folder. Be aware, data within it will be deleted within 30 days.
